Free, drive-thru testing available Nov. 19-20

Cashmere, WA – Free, drive-thru COVID-19 testing will be available Nov. 19-20 at Cashmere High School, 329 Tigner Road.

Testing will be 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 20. Seasonal farmworkers are encouraged to visit the Cashmere testing site; however, testing is available to the general community as well.

Medical Teams International will operate the Cashmere COVID-19 testing event. Translators, Labor and Industry staff, and other outreach personnel will be available to assist with operations and provide information related to COVID-19.

Efforts for the event were initiated to encourage seasonal farmworkers to get tested before they exit the area, potentially avoiding exposing their families to COVID-19 upon their return to their countries of origin. Several local agricultural employers have reported that the majority of seasonal farmworkers have left the area. Therefore, testing will be available to the general community as well.

CDHD encourages anyone experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or who has been exposed to COVID-19 to get tested. Additional information about local testing sites, including frequently asked questions, is available on the CDHD website.
