East Wenatchee, WA – An Eastmont School District staff member involved in a Chromebook collection event last week has tested positive for COVID-19. Since staff members were masked, followed social distancing protocol, and this was an outdoor drive-through event, the Chelan Douglas Health District has determined that the risk of disease transmission to any students or parents who participated is very low.
CDHD is not recommending testing unless a participant develops COVID-19 symptoms. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may need to get tested:
• Fever or chills
• Cough / sore throat
• Shortness of breath of difficulty breathing
• Fatigue / headache
• Muscle or body aches
• Recent loss of taste or smell
• Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea
Testing locations throughout Chelan and Douglas County include Confluence Health in Wenatchee, Columbia Valley Community Health in Wenatchee and Chelan, Cascade Medical in Leavenworth and Lake Chelan Community Hospital in Chelan.
