Many services are available on-line or by phone.
East Wenatchee, WA – Chelan-Douglas Health District (CDHD) Health Officer, Dr. Francis Collins, and Administrator, Barry Kling, are closing in person services at Chelan-Douglas Health District. This will go into effect starting at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020 until further notice.
Due to increasing response efforts of combatting the COVID-19 pandemic, CDHD is reorganizing all of its resources to better protect our communities. In a statewide effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, all businesses and organizations in our community are required to ensure social distancing and other health measures in their operations. It is important that the Health District does the same. We have determined that closing our front counter reduces person-to-person contact and lessens the risk for staff and the public. Accommodations for services include:
Birth and Death Certificates
May be purchased online through the Washington State Department of Health or visit our web site to learn more: https://cdhd.wa.gov/birth-and-death-certificates/. Our Birth and Death Certificate form is also available to download on this webpage as well. Customers can print the form and send it to us in the mail along with payment check or money order. Call our office if you do not have access to a printer and we will work with you.
Environmental Health Services
For permit application submittals, payments, etc., please call and we will work with you over the phone as much as possible. Online and phone services will continue, as well as inspections and permit reviews. Permit applications and other services are also available at www.cdhd.wa.gov. Please call 509-886-6400 for questions about permits, payments, and other environmental health services normally provided at the front counter.
Personal Health Services
Tuberculosis services will continue, please call our office to schedule your consultation. WIC services are currently being offered by telephone only. WIC staff will call clients at their scheduled appointment time or clients can call WIC at their convenience during regular business hours. Clients who are interested in signing up for WIC should call 509-886-6400.
The health and safety of our residents remains the Health District’s top priority. CDHD encourages the community to help prevent the spread of illness and support the response to this pandemic by staying informed and sharing reliable information.
