HIGH RISK CONDITIONS
People with high risk conditions like diabetes and asthma should contact their doctors right away if the believe they have H1N1 influenza. There are antiviral drugs that can help reduce the severity of the illness for high risk people, but they need to be started in the first 48 hours of the illness to be most effective.

- Pregnant women
- People who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age
- Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
- People between 6 months and 24 years
- People 25 through 64 with chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems.
