CSHCN Children with Special Health Care Needs       

Assisting parents that have children with special needs to access the care they need..

Through home or office visits, a public health nurse assists parents that have children with special needs, birth to 18 years old, access health care and any other support services the family may need. For more information please visit the following sites:

This resource for public health, safety and child development information is available for child care providers in licensed homes and centers, through site visits or phone consultations.

Goals:

* Decrease the incidence of communicable disease and injuries in child care.

* Increase the providers understanding of all stages of child development.

* Giving child care providers resources that will benefit providers, children and parents.
