Food Worker Information & Testing Sites 

   

 

Testing is available In English and Spanish at 200 Valley Mall Pkwy, E. Wenatchee, on the 2nd Floor every business day (Mon-Thurs) between 8:00a.m. and 3:30 p.mThe instruction and testing lasts approximately 1 hour and is on a “first come, first served” basis.  It is recommended that all food workers review the food worker manual, “Food Safety is Everybody’s Business”, prior to testing. Copies of the manual are available at Chelan-Douglas Health District and here:

Food Worker Manual, also in Spanish,  Chinese, Russian, Vietnamese, and Korean 

                

Upon completion of the test, a certificate of passing will be issued.The certificate and payment of $10 must be received by the Chelan-Douglas Health District within 30 days of testing to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card. A valid Food Worker Card must be submitted with the payment for a three year renewal card. Note: The certificate of passing is not a Food Worker Card.

General Information

   

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?  

Picture ID & $10 cash/check/credit card. For a 3 yr. card you must bring your unexpired card.

No children, food or drinks allowed in the testing area

                    

WHEN WILL I GET MY CARD?

A temporary certificate will be issued after you pass the test. The card will be mailed in approximately two weeks.

 

WHEN WILL MY CARD EXPIRE?

If this is your first food worker card, your card has expired, or you did not bring your current card with you, your card will expire two years from the day of issuance. If you bring a current card when you take the test, your renewal card will expire three years from the issuance date.
