Restaurant Inspections and Food Worker Testing

  • Inspect retail food service establishments such as restaurants, grocery stores, taverns, mobile units and concessions
  • Inspect temporary food booths for events like Apple Blossom or Autumn Leaf Festivals
  • Investigate food-borne illness complaints
  • Educate food workers and restaurant operators on safe foodhandling practices

Food Worker Information          Food Safety is Everybody's Business  

 

You can read this manual before taking the test. Testing is available Monday - Thursday at our main office, upstairs, from 8-3:30 Cost $10. NOTE: Off site test takers must submit the certificate and $10 payment within 30 days to the

health district to receive a Food Worker Card.

    Please do not bring food or children with you to the test site.

* Advice to Consumers

cookie dough

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are warning consumers not to eat any varieties of prepackaged Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough due to the risk of contamination with E. coli O157:H7. If consumers have any prepackaged, refrigerated Nestle Toll House cookie dough products in their home they should throw them away. Cooking the dough is not recommended because consumers might get the bacteria on their hands and on other cooking surfaces.
